Invitation to the weltwärts partner conference in West Africa 2024
29th January till 2nd February 2024 in Accra, Ghana
The next weltwärts partner conference in western Africa will take place in Accra, Ghana, in January/February 2024. Members of the implementing organisations and partner organisations from Benin, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal and Togo as well as members from the Programme Steering Committee will be invited.
In the name of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Programme Steering Committee (PSC) of the weltwärts programme, we are delighted to extend an invitation to you to attend the next partner conference in West Africa.
Partner conferences reinforce the collaboration and networking of partner organisations from the countries of the Global South and the German implementing organisations. In addition, they offer an excellent opportunity to discuss program-related questions with representatives of partner organisations and the PSC.
Partner organisations can participate in the partner conference regardless of whether their implementing organisation takes part. Implementing organisations are also invited to the conference if at least one of their partner organisations takes part. It is recommended that cooperating implementing and partner organisations jointly attend the partner conference. For ecological and resource-saving reasons, it is recommended that implementing organisations combine participation in a partner conference with intermediate seminars and/or partner visits.
Please understand that normally only one person from each organisation can attend the conference. The number of participants is limited. Therefore a key was developed for the distribution of attendees that will be applied when awarding positive answers. A direct connection of the individual participants to the weltwärts programme is a condition for participation. The conference will be held primarily in English with translation into French.

Arrival: Sunday, 28th January 2024
Start of the conference: Monday, 29th January 2024, 9:30 am
End of conference: Friday, 2nd February 2024, 1:00 pm
Departure: Friday, 2nd February 2024 (after the end of the conference)
The costs for meals, accommodation and travel are borne by the BMZ.

As soon as you are accepted to join the partner conference, we will ask you for further information to book a bus or a flight for you.
