Invitation: Partner conference in Togo in October 2018

The fourth cross-organisation partner conference for the West Africa region will take place in Lomé, Togo, from 21 to 25 October 2018. Members of the partner organisations in Ghana, Togo, Benin, Cameroon, Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire will be invited to attend. It is the second of these conferences to be held in French.

Via e.V. and Freundeskreis Afrika e.V. are organising the conference in cooperation with their partners Action pour la Survie des Enfants des Veuves et pour l’Exchange culturel (ASEVEC) and Cerle Humanitaire pour Enfants (CHE).

The aim of the conference is to provide the active stakeholders in the weltwärts programme with a platform for knowledge-sharing and networking and to strengthen the dialogue between the various programme participants.

The conference will focus on the importance and effectiveness of the weltwärts programme in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It will give the partners in West Africa an opportunity to exchange views with the programme’s steering committee on the effectiveness of the voluntary assignments – at the places of assignment, within the local structures and post-assignment.

The organisers would like to point out that it will usually only be possible for one person per organisation to participate in the conference. Participants should be directly linked to the weltwärts voluntary service within their organisation. They will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of initiative. The conference will be held in French with interpretation for English-speaking participants.

The invitations (and registration forms) were sent to the sending organisations in Germany and they then forwarded them to their partners in West Africa. It is also possible to download the files on this site.
