The German host organizations are weltwärts organizations and associations of former volunteers that are approved by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). They assume overall organizational responsibility for the programme. They are the interface between the sending organization in the partner countries, the places of assignment and the volunteers.

The formation of PHCF is line with the ideology of strengthening African families in a call for change focusing at ensuring that our children are in safe, happy and health families which should be a priority for all of us. In our operation, PHCF envisages the following six thematic areas;
institutional development

iv) Child Protection
v) Psychosocial Support and Basic Care
