Sending and hosting volunteers inclusively

In the weltwärts programme, we live and breathe diversity. Barriers within the programme are identified and broken down. We support organisations that would like to send or host volunteers with impairments and disabilities.

We support organisations that would like to send or host volunteers with impairments and disabilities. This may involve questions of a financial, organisational and legal nature. There are also questions related to insurance and teaching that need to be clarified.

The need for support may be related to hearing, vision, mobility, mental health, additional medical needs (e.g. due to diabetes), learning and more (e.g. autism).

Inclusion-related additional needs

The weltwärts programme will assume 100 per cent of additional costs arising from the impairment or disability. For example, these may be the costs of an assistant, sign language interpreter or aids, or the costs of therapeutic or medical care. Assumption of additional costs must be applied for.
