The sixth weltwärts partner conference in Africa will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, in March 2025. Members of the implementing organisations and partner organisations from Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Lesotho and South Africa as well as members from the Programme Steering Committee will be invited.
In the name of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Programme Steering Committee (PSC) of the weltwärts programme, we are delighted to extend an invitation to you to attend the next partner conference in Africa.
Partner conferences reinforce the collaboration and networking of partner organisations from the countries of the Global South and the German implementing organisations. In addition, they offer an excellent opportunity to discuss program-related questions with representatives of partner organisations and the PSC.
Partner organisations can participate in the partner conference regardless of whether their implementing organisation takes part. Implementing organisations are also invited to the conference if at least one of their partner organisations takes part. It is recommended that cooperating implementing and partner organisations jointly attend the partner conference. For ecological and resource-saving reasons, it is recommended that implementing organisations combine participation in a partner conference with intermediate seminars and/or partner visits.
Please understand that normally only one person from each organisation can attend the conference. The number of participants is limited. A direct connection of the individual participants to the weltwärts programme is a condition for participation. The conference will be held in English. The conference will be accessible for people with a disability and additional demands will be met if the organisational team of the conference is informed beforehand.
Arrival: Sunday, 16th March 2025
Start of the conference: Monday, 17th March 2025, 09:00 a.m.
End of conference: Friday, 21st March 2025, 12:00 p.m.
Departure: Friday, 21st March 2025 (after the end of the conference*)
*for participants from outside of India there is the possibility of an additional overnight stay, if travel times require this.
The costs for meals, accommodation and travel are borne by the BMZ.
