Kliptown Youth Program (KYP) is a non-profit organization founded in 2007 by a small group of young, inspiring individuals who wanted to make a difference in their local community. By providing a free after-school program for 560 kids ages 8 to 20, KYP is the only organization in the area that seeks to further the education and development of the impoverished children of Kliptown. The tutoring program for students Grades 1-12 is the focus of the organization, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach his or her academic potential and grow into a skilled individual.
