Deine Aufgabe

“The Social Innovation Academy” (SINA) empowers marginalized youth to become job creators by nurturing innovative project ideas into social enterprises. SINA addresses young adults with different educational background (school drop-outs, O- or A-Level graduands or students), with the intention to become a job creator. SINA addresses the problems of a rigid educational system and rampant unemployment. Scholars prototype innovative ideas, which are then incubated into social enterprises—with environmental and social value rather than mere monetary profit. Scholars leave with their own employment created instead of looking for a job! Project can be technical, agricultural, social, artistic or of any other kind. In open learning spaces, knowledge and practical skills are linked in such a way that projects become the curriculum itself. SINA is run democratically and self-organized. However, pro-cesses and structures guide the self-organization.

The day at Social Innovation Academy (SINA) wstarts with a morning meeting, where all members of the academy get together and plan the day. The day officially ends at 5:30 pm. During the day, the scholars work on their own projects or are engaged in SINA projects. The volunteer will be able to participate. Every second Saturday is free, otherwise plastic bottle construction takes place on Saturdays. Some activities for the volunteer include: - Attending team- and group meetings - Assist the Facilitators in there coaching and mentoring work - Support the Scholars during their studies and in there projects - Support in daily activities
